In Kingdomino, you are a Lord seeking new lands in which to expand your kingdom. You must explore all the lands, wheat fields, lakes, and mountains in order to spot the best plots. But be careful as some other Lords also covet these lands...
Dominoes with a kingdom building twist. Each turn, connect a new domino to your existing kingdom, making sure at least one of its sides connects to a matching terrain type already in play. The game mechanics for obtaining the tiles is clever: the order of who picks first depends on which tile was previously chosen. Make sure to secure tiles with crowns- these royal treasures help to multiply the worth of your kingdom at the end of the game! The game ends when each player has completed a 5x5 grid, and then points are counted based on number of connecting tiles and crowns.
Learn how to play:
When I asked for a game that my special needs child could understand and play but that my older two kids and I would enjoy, this was a suggestion and it hasn't failed us. I love the take on the turn order, it gives the potential for everyone to have a turn going first. This is such an easy game to pickup and has great replayability.
It feels like this game has been around for ages, not just four years. Every time I play it, it feels like an absolute classic.
The turn-order mechanic is really great, and is what makes this game hum and move along nicely. Quick plays, but we always end up playing many MANY games.
This game is one that all ages of our family love! We like that although there is a level of strategy, the 8yr old can still excel at it. My husband often requests this game too, showing how versatile it is for all members. I love how it’s one of those games you Can just pick up and play in 20 minutes, without too much headspace required at the end of a long day. Highly recommend!
The perfect game when you need something simple to play but with multiple levels of strategy to apply. in the first two days after buying this I introduced it to 5 people who don't usually play board games and played more times than I can recall. This game is an instant classic. It really doesn't get old.
Just bought this game today and played it 5x in a row - great game! Love it! Used a YouTube tutorial to teach the game basics which made it even quicker to pick up - highly recommend!
