Fluxx is a card game in which the cards themselves determine the current rules of the game. By playing cards, you change numerous aspects of the game: how to draw cards, how to play cards, and even how to win.
At the start of the game, each player holds three cards and on a turn a player draws one card, then plays one card. By playing cards, you can put new rules into play that change numerous aspects of the game: how many cards to draw or play, how many cards you can hold in hand or keep on the table in front of you, and (most importantly) how to win the game.
Jumanji Fluxx features the gameplay of Fluxx and characters and events from the Jumanji film.
I've been a fan of Jumanji since the very first film came out in 1995 and have enjoyed the two more recent additions, so knew this was a must when I saw it available. What I enjoy about this version are the added elements, cards which kick anyone with the matching images in their keepers out of the game, a card that requires you to yell 'Jumanji' when you win and the added bonus of the Van Pelt coin token (which does also come into play). This version encourages new players to join in at any point of the game, and so long as the meta rule isn't in play nor your expulsion leave only one player, you can rejoin the game in the next round. I've had lots of fun with this Fluxx.
