October 1888: During the construction of the Metropolitan Police headquarters near Whitehall, which would later be known as Scotland Yard, the remains of a body were found. In September, a severed arm had already been discovered in the muddy shore of the River Thames.
There is another murderer roaming the streets of London in Whitehall, amusing himself by spreading the pieces of a poor woman around Whitehall, like some kind of macabre treasure hunt. The identity of this monster and his unfortunate victim are a mystery, the Whitehall Mystery.
We have had such fun playing this game. As a group, with kids and just hubby and I. Strategy at its best. I personally enjoy talking through what I think Jack is up too, making it a slight role play style, but you can just guess numbers and keep it simple. The game is easy to understand but is still challenging and can really get your heart racing playing jack as it can be a really close call. Awesome group game as you can just play the 3 investigators together as a team. Totally worth it. And we will be playing this for a long time.
Either join a team to use your wit to hunt down the evil Jack, or chuckle to yourself as the hapless police search in vain for you whilst you disappear into the night.
Really fun to play from either side this feels like a game which has been refined through previous iterations to the point where it has the perfect balance of complexity and playability.
Awesome hidden movement game where a team of investigators is trying to track down "Jack". Great system for tracking Jack's movements.
Simple mechanics, but applied effectively to gameplay.
